A-TUBE AWARDS

Yoni Goodman and his workshop on the outstanding animation technique for Waltz with Bashir has closed the A-tube festival 2010 edition. Some thousands have been the attendances of the public during the ten days of the festival, including previews and exhibitions.

Six prizes have been awarded in the two competitions, The A-tube Short Film Contest and The Golden Storyboard Award, sponsored both by the prestigious Canadian animation software house Toon Boom with its products Animate and Storyboard Pro, and by the Ceres Beer Company, with its products Ceres Art Edition. The Ceres Company has also been sponsoring the participants’ registration at the festival’s desk throughout the week. Two more prizes have been awarded: The Press Award and The Audience Award.

The festival direction wishes to thank the public that has been enthusiastically attending the festival as well as all participating filmmakers, artists, speakers and finally all the jury members for their great work. Congratulations to all winners!

Toon Boom official sponsor of the A-tube awards

A-tube proudly announces that the worldwide renowned Canadian brand for animation software Toon Boom will officially sponsor the award cerimony in Varese on May, 23, 2010.
Six prizes (mention included) will be awarded to the categories of “A-tube best short film” and “The Golden Storyboard”, and the winners will receive six licenses of innovative animation software, like Animate and Storyboard Pro. We welcome this partnership with Toon Boom and we hope that as well as the winners many other animation artists will enjoy and benefit from these innovative products. The detailed program of the festival will be published at the end of April. Short films in competition will be screened between May, 20 and 22. See you in Varese, Italy, on May, 16-23!
